Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using AVAZA Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Service Description

AVAZA Connect is a scheduling platform that connects certified healthcare interpreters with medical providers for the Oregon Health Authority. The platform facilitates appointment scheduling, interpreter verification, and communication between parties.

2. User Eligibility

  • Interpreters must hold valid Healthcare Interpreter (HCI) certification
  • Healthcare providers must be licensed medical professionals
  • Users must be at least 18 years of age
  • All information provided must be accurate and current

3. Professional Responsibilities

Interpreters:

  • Maintain current HCI certification and training
  • Arrive punctually for scheduled appointments
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical information
  • Follow professional interpreting standards and ethics

Healthcare Providers:

  • Provide accurate appointment details and requirements
  • Ensure appropriate interpreter modality selection
  • Respect interpreter professional boundaries
  • Comply with all applicable healthcare regulations

4. HIPAA Compliance

All users must comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). Interpreters are considered business associates and must follow all applicable privacy and security requirements.

5. Platform Usage

  • Users are responsible for maintaining account security
  • Misuse of the platform may result in account suspension
  • Users must report technical issues or security concerns promptly
  • The platform is for professional healthcare interpretation services only

6. Limitation of Liability

AVAZA Connect provides a scheduling platform only. The Oregon Health Authority and platform operators are not liable for the quality of interpretation services, medical decisions, or outcomes resulting from appointments scheduled through the platform.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Oregon state regulations and procedures.
